Description
This old, vintage manual typewriter was one of hundreds of items on display at the Chatham Railroad Museum on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The Chatham Railroad Museum is located in the restored 1887 railroad depot that served Chatham residents and visitors for nearly fifty years. The museum many of the thousands of railroad artifacts collected over the years, including original and operating Western Union telegraph equipment, lanterns, badges, signs, tools, timetables, menus and passes, promotional literature, original paintings and prints, calendars, a six hundred volume library and even a restored 1910 wood sided caboose. This battered old typewriter image was digitally enhanced to exaggerate the rusted areas where paint is missing and to add a bright color.
I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains. I've even had a couple abstracts made into my personal cell phone covers. Please check out my Facebook page Doodleng Art by Sharon Eng for announcements and more information about my art. This image would be a good selection for business or corporate wall art and decor or in any home.
