Description
One never tires of this view - an endless expanse of hazy, blue mountains as far as one can see. Where the mountain ranges meet the horizon, they merge as one. This is the iconic image people think of when they picture the Blue Ridge and Smokie Mountains. This mountain landscape photograph was taken midday but the haziness makes it look like late afternoon. The cold and overcast on this winter day also contributed to the effect.
The Blue Ridge Mountains is part of the Appalachian range and is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts due to the abundant waterfalls, hiking trails and other nature experiences. The Blue Ridge Mountains cross the states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia, forming the eastern front of the Appalachian Mountains in the Southeastern United States. The Blue Ridge Mountains are recognized by their long, parallel ridges, separated by deep valleys and blue tinged color.
I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains. I've even had a couple abstracts made into my personal cell phone covers. Please check out my Facebook page Doodleng Art by Sharon Eng for announcements and more information about my art. This image would be a good selection for business or corporate wall art and decor or in any home.
