Nice surprise. Thank you to the buyer from Newton, Mass. for purchasing my pop art rendering of the Chatham Light.

Artist's Description

This abstracted triptych combines three digital photo painting of the Chatham Lighthouse created from my original photograph. It is a fun, colorful pop-art style.

The Chatham Lighthouse is located on the grounds of the Chatham US Coast Guard Station. The Chatham Light was established in 1808 and was a twin to the nearby Nauset Lighthouse. Tours are offered of the lighthouse during the tourist season. The Coast Guard Station and Lighthouse and on station lifesaving boat are on a cliff across from Lighthouse Beach in Chatham.

Although this is an oft photographed landmark, this image is an original photograph by Sharon Eng and has had some digital editing to clean it up a little. It was a bright, sunny September day, perfect for a lig...

I consider the computer desktop my canvas and PhotoShop my paints and tools. I find, in my original and digital work, that I am still leaning to abstract. Although I may give a title to the image based on my vision, the interpretation is always up to the viewer. I always hope...
