Description
This digital photo painting was created from one of my macro photographs of some markings on a palm frond. I visited the Salt Flats near Salt Lake City once and my husband and son enjoyed driving on them. I just let my imagination run with this one.
The Bonneville Salt Flats Special Recreation Management Area encompasses a 30,000 acre area on the western edge of the Great Salt Lake. It is composed of hard, white salt crust. The salt flats are about 12 miles long and 5 miles wide with total area coverage of just over 46 square miles. Since 1914, the salt flats has served as the racing grounds for generations of land speed racers from around the world. The flats are closed to drivers during certain times of the year due to wet conditions, so always consult the website for information.
I am an award-winning exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains. I've even had a couple abstracts made into my personal cell phone covers. Please check out my Facebook page Doodleng Art by Sharon Eng for announcements and more information about my art. This image would be a good selection for business or corporate wall art and decor or in any home.
