Description

This landscape photograph was taken at a small pond in my neighborhood in Hendersonville, North Carolina. This peaceful pond features benches where residents can sit and enjoy the sound of frogs croaking and jumping and early morning sunlight filtering through the trees. This small boat is used by the maintenance crews to maintain the pond, but on this beautiful morning, it added to the tranquil scene. There was a little digital editing of the original photograph to enhance the light and color. Hendersonville is not far from Asheville in the Blue Ridge Mountains, part of the Appalachian Mountain chain. Visitors to this region come for the natural beauty, waterfalls, streams and rivers, hiking, mountain climbing and much more.

I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains.
