Description
This peaceful, early evening, landscape sunset photograph is at Rock Harbor Beach near Orleans, Cape Cod. The early evening sky is already turning shades of gold and pink which reflects, too, on the water and the grasses. Rock Harbor presents so many unique photographic opportunities. With all of the grass and the solitary trees planted as channel markers growing out of the water, it's unlike any other beach I've seen on the Cape. Orleans, Massachusetts, is also home to the Coast Guard Rescue Ship, CG36500, which performed the heroic rescue of the crew of the Pendleton, recreated in the recent movie The Finest Hours. The CG36500 is docked at Rock Harbor. Rock Harbor is also becoming the place to view the beautiful Cape Cod sunsets, similar to Mallory Square in Key West. Entertainment is provided by local musicians, crowds gather and enjoy the music while the sun gently sets across the ocean.
I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains. I've even had a couple abstracts made into my personal cell phone covers. Please check out my Facebook page Doodleng Art by Sharon Eng for announcements and more information about my art. This image would be a good selection for business or corporate wall art and decor or in any home.
