Description
Hanging on till the end, these colorful yellow and gold fall leaves wait for the next gust or rain to finally release them from their grip. This lovely fall color was found while walking in the woods in the mountains near Hendersonville, North Carolina. Autumn is a popular season wherever you go in the mountains. If weather conditions during the weeks leading up to fall are just right with temperature and humidity, colors can be brilliant and blanket the woods and mountains with red, orange, bronze, gold, yellow and green. Fall is a wonderful time for casual walking or day hiking in the forests. Hendersonville, North Carolina, is a lovely, active small city not far from its better known neighbor, Asheville. The autumn season is probably the most popular for tourists to this Western Carolina region, known for its brilliant fall foliage blanketing the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Appalachian range with red, orange, bronze, gold, yellow and green
I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida (recently relocated from Hendersonville) and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains. I've even had a couple abstracts made into my personal cell phone covers.
