Description
While visiting Provincetown, Cape Cod, Massachusetts, in early September, I came upon this seaside cottage displaying the US flag. Whether it was in honor of the upcoming 9/11 anniversary, or just as a patriotic display, it was a wonderful gesture. This version of this photograph contains text suitable for a greeting card to send to a service member or veteran to thank them for their service to our country and for keeping us free. Thank you for keeping us free is a simple message, but can mean so much to someone risking their life for us.
September, some think, is the best time of year on the Cape. The weather is still warm, the crowds are gone, and the beaches are just for you. Provincetown lies at the very tip of the Cape Cod arm which thrusts out from the Massachusetts mainland into the Atlantic Ocean. It is filled with colorful shops, delightful restaurants, places of interest, such as Pilgrim's Monument, Provincelands and the US Life Saving Station.
I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains. I've even had a couple abstracts made into my personal cell phone covers. Please check out my Facebook page Doodleng Art by Sharon Eng for announcements and more information about my art.

P-Town is so close to my heart and have enjoyed yearly visits for nearly 50 years. I know exactly where this house is, on the far West End of Commercial Street. Great capture, Sharon! Fav'd
