Description
While driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Pisgah National Forest enjoying the beautiful fall foliage, I found this peaceful picnic setting. It seemed the perfect spot to stop, take out the picnic lunch and rest and eat beneath the stunning yellows and orange leaves in the tall trees. It was a perfect autumn day with a clear blue sky.
Pisgah National Forest is a National Forest in the Appalachian Mountains of western North Carolina, not far from Asheville. It is administered by the United States Forest Service, part of the Department of Agriculture. The Pisgah National Forest is completely contained within the state of North Carolina and was established in 1916, one of the first national forests in the eastern United States. The new preserve included approximately 86,700 acres that had been part of the Biltmore Estate, but were sold to the federal government in 1914 by Edith Vanderbilt.
I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains. I've even had a couple abstracts made into my personal cell phone covers. Please check out my Facebook page Doodleng Art by Sharon Eng for announcements and more information about my art. This image would be a good selection for business or corporate wall art and decor or in any home.
