Description
This small waterfall was just a trickle compared to many found in the Western North Carolina mountains around Highlands. I believe this was Bridal Veil Falls, but I can't be sure. Bridal Veil Falls has a recess behind the water where vehicles can drive behind it. After a huge piece of the rocky mountain fell several years ago onto the roadway, I wouldn't recommend standing near when it has been raining for a long period of time. Rock slides happen fairly regularly.
The Blue Ridge Mountains cross the states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia, forming the eastern front of the Appalachian Mountains in the Southeastern United States. The Blue Ridge Mountains are recognized by their long, parallel ridges, separated by deep valleys and blue tinged color.
