Description
It was a partly cloudy day at the North Port, Florida, campus of the State College of Florida. The conditions created strong shadows and contrast in the water of Lake Jervey which is the centerpiece of the wetlands nature area on the campus. I loved the vertical lines of the reeds with the cloud reflections and the contrasting shape of the other water plants. This would be a lovely image in any modern decor.
The State College of Florida campus is about 100 acres and is open to local residents and visitors to visit to enjoy the large wetlands area which attracts many of Florida's coastal birds and wildlife to the shallow lakes and ponds. There is a paved trail around the lake and residents are invited to enjoy the natural environment.
I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains. I've even had a couple abstracts made into my personal cell phone covers. Please check out my Facebook page Doodleng Art by Sharon Eng for announcements and more information about my art. This image would be a good selection for business or corporate wall art and decor or in any home.
