Beautiful sunset composition, Sharon!

Than you, Jurgen.

Artist's Description

This colorful sunset landscape photograph is at Rock Harbor Beach near Orleans, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Rock Harbor is becoming the place to view the beautiful Cape Cod sunsets, similar to Mallory Square in Key West. Entertainment is sometimes provided by local muscians, crowds gather and enjoy the music while the sun gently sets across the ocean. This image is of one of the many photographers claiming her spot for the perfect sunset picture.

In addition to wonderful sunsets (and sunrises), Rock Harbor presents so many other unique photographic opportunities. With all of the grass and the solitary trees growing out of the water as channel markers, it's unlike any other beach I've seen on the Cape. Orleans, Massachusetts, is also home to the Coast Guard Rescue Ship, CG36500, which performed the heroic rescue of the crew of the Pendleton, recreated in the recent movie The Finest Hours. The CG36500 is docked at Rock Harbor

About Sharon Williams Eng

Sharon Williams Eng

Thank you for taking time to visit my gallery. Enjoy the journey and please come back again. It is interesting to walk through my images and discover that, even back almost 40 years ago, I was intrigued by light, shapes, and color patterns. Back then I used a 35mm Canon film camera and I find many "abstract" images in my early work. Now I am currently exploring digital art, generally beginning with one of my photographs and seeing what new creations emerge. I consider the computer desktop my canvas and PhotoShop my paints and tools. I find, in my original and digital work, that I am still leaning to abstract. Although I may give a title to the image based on my vision, the interpretation is always up to the viewer. I always hope...
