Artist's Description

This abstract creature was digitally painted from a photograph I took of some graffiti on a wall in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The close-up of the swirls and curved painted lines reminded me of a bird's head, especially a blue jay or cardinal. I altered the color of the image to an orange caste and did some other digital painting on the background. I've seen many bird images used for mascots and this reminds me of those. The bird has a little bad ass showing in the expression to intimidate the opposition.

I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains. I've even had a couple abstracts made into my personal cell phone covers. Please check out my Facebook page Doodleng Art by Sharon En...

I consider the computer desktop my canvas and PhotoShop my paints and tools. I find, in my original and digital work, that I am still leaning to abstract. Although I may give a title to the image based on my vision, the interpretation is always up to the viewer. I always hope...
