Description
This weathered row boat was seen in Nantucket, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The first thing I saw was the stern with the name "Sunken Ship." Then I saw the side identifying the boat as from Nantucket. I have converted the original color photograph to black and white for an interesting minimalist image.
Nantucket is one of the two main Cape Cod islands, and sits in the Atlantic just south of Cape Cod. Along with the other popular island of Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket encompasses harbor towns and lighthouses, sandy beaches and quaint shops along the ferry wharfs. It's accessible only by boat or air from the mainland of Cape Cod.
