Description
This lovely tropical royal poinciana tree (Delonix regia) was growing along the wetlands trail on the North Port campus of the State College of Florida. It was a beautiful specimen and showing off its large, red-orange flowers against the ferny green leaves.
State College of Florida has a beautiful nature trail available to the public for running, walking, of biking around a large lake. Water fowl and birds frequent the area, as do alligators. The residents are always warned, "If there is a body of water, always assume there are gators." Abundant water plants floated in the shallow lake and various shore birds and water fowl visited in search of lunch.
I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains. I've even had a couple abstracts made into my personal cell phone covers. Please check out my Facebook page Doodleng Art by Sharon Eng for announcements and more information about my art. This image would be a good selection for business or corporate wall art and decor or in any home.
