On this beautiful, partly sunny day, I couldn't resist exploring the wetland lake area on the North Port campus of the State College of Florida. I loved the reflection of the clouds and sky in the water and the lily pads adding contrast and shape.
State College of Florida has a beautiful nature trail available to the public for running, walking, of biking around a large lake. Water fowl and birds frequent the area, as do alligators. The residents are always warned, "If there is a body of water, always assume there are gators." Abundant water plants floated in the shallow lake and various shore birds and water fowl visited in search of lunch.
