Description
While hiking in a park in Utah, the aspen trees were bright with their yellow fall leaves. This tree leaned over our path, showering our feet with its leaves.
September in the western Unitied States is filled with bright yellow as the aspen trees light up the steep mountains and cliffs thrughout Idaho, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and northern Arizona near the Grand Canyon.
According to Wikipedia, aspens are all native to cold regions with cool summers, in the north of the Northern Hemisphere, extending south at high-altitude areas such as mountains or high plains. They are all medium-sized deciduous trees reaching 49-98 ft tall. In North America, it is referred to as Quaking Aspen or Trembling Aspen because the leaves "quake" or tremble in the wind. This is due to their flattened petioles which reduces aerodynamic drag on the trunk and branches.
I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains. I've even had a couple abstracts made into my personal cell phone covers. Please check out my Facebook page Doodleng Art by Sharon Eng for announcements and more information about my art. This image would be a good selection for business or corporate wall art and decor or in any home.
