Description
This colorful red, white and blue patriotic display was discovered during a walk in Harwich Port, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. It was apparently set up to welcome home a local service member from deployment. It was a rather unusual display of a beat up and weathered replica of a fishing boat, a hand made wood flag, several American flags on poles and lobster traps. Regardless, I have no doubt the soldier was touched and moved by the homecoming.
Cape Cod, a hook-shaped peninsula of the U.S. state of Massachusetts, is a popular summertime destination. It's the site of quaint villages, seafood shacks, lighthouses, ponds and bay and ocean beaches. The John F. Kennedy Museum is the first stop on the Kennedy Legacy Trail through downtown Hyannis, where ferries depart to the resort islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.
I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains. I've even had a couple abstracts made into my personal cell phone covers. Please check out my Facebook page Doodleng Art by Sharon Eng for announcements and more information about my art. This image would be a good selection for business or corporate wall art and decor or in any home.
