Description
This abstract blue and orange digital photo painting is from my close-up photograph of a design created in a moving sand art piece. This is a frame containing sand and liquid between two pieces of glass. When you flip it, the sand reshapes to create interesting images. Bubbles are often injected into the mix and become part of the design.
I'm not a fan of open-water swimming - too many creatures and unknown objects lurking beneath the water's surface. Generally, one can't see what is swimming below; and, even if you can, you might not want to know. This design made me think of the ocean bottom and a coral reef. The orange forms could be boulders, fish eggs, alien life forms, or whatever else your imagination can conjure. Even though I don't personally dive or sail, I am fascinated by both.
I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida, and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains. I've even had a couple abstracts made into my personal cell phone covers. Please check out my Facebook page Doodleng Art by Sharon Eng for announcements and more information about my art.
