Description
This abstract landscape to me represents a swampy area with a forest of tall trees growing tall with few leaves. Many of the trees are little more than bare trunks sitting in the watery soil. The sun is trying to filter through the trees and light shows through a few. The swampy lake is in the foreground reflecting the forest shadows and light.
This painting was created using various papers and paint and has a lot of texture and layers. I also incorporated some sheet music as I was thinking of the song Blue Bayou as it was developing.
Such landscapes can be found around the Gulf of Mexico, especially, including Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana. South Carolina also has many swampy areas.
I am an award winning exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains. I've even had a couple abstracts made into my personal cell phone covers. Please check out my Facebook page Doodleng Art by Sharon Eng for announcements and more information about my art. This image would be a good selection for business or corporate wall art and decor or in any home.
