Description
This tranquil landscape began as one of my macro photographs. I often take macro photographs of various markings, peeling paint and smudges, and then digitally enhancement and paint the images to see what I get. Often, when I take the photo, I immediately see something, such as a still life or landscape. These are, of course, abstract impressions. I usually title the finished painting based on my imaginary vision, but, as with any abstract, it is what you feel and see. So please retitle it to fit your imagination. This image made me think of a a sailboat regatta off of a coastal area. I love seeing the sails out on the water and the boats gliding over the waves. To me, this is a very peaceful and relaxing image.
This can be any tropical or coastal area you envision - from the Caribbean Islands to Florida, to Georgia, North or South Carolina, on up the coast to Virginia, New York, Long Island, and Cape Cod. I imagine the Great Lakes areas also have many sailboats, as well as California and Texas.
I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains. I've even had a couple abstracts made into my personal cell phone covers. Please check out my Facebook page Doodleng Art by Sharon Eng for announcements and more information about my art. This image would be a good selection for business or corporate wall art and decor or in any home.
