Description

This tranquil coastal beach landscape began as one of my macro photographs. When I paint, I often place a piece of cardboard beneath the canvas or cover my work table with paper. When I am finished, there are often interesting paint remnants on the board and I do some macros. This was one of the images from my last painting session. I saw a beach scene with beach grasses. I have done considerable digital painting to add a little blue haze to the sky, some tourquoise sea and some more enhancement to bring out the coastal look.

I live in Florida and this could be anywhere along the shoreline here, but I am partial to Cape Cod and it reminds me of those beautiful beaches, as well. If you enjoy setting up your beach chairs along the shoreline in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, New Jersey, or New York's Long Island, or even around the Great Lakes, Texas, or California, maybe this piece reminds you of that place.

I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains.
