Description
This colorful abstract landscape began as one of my macro photographs. When I paint, I often place a piece of cardboard beneath the canvas or cover my work table with paper. When I am finished, there are often interesting paint remnants on the board and I do some macros. This image made me think of a stream flowing through a desert area or a coastal area with sand dunes and sparse vegetation. A few grasses and bushes are growing at the water's edge and some green can be viewed in the distance, but it is mostly sand.
I did some digital refinements and painting to paint in a sky and define the water a little more to create this imaginery landscape. To me, this is a very peaceful and relaxing image.
I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains. I've even had a couple abstracts made into my personal cell phone covers. Please check out my Facebook page Doodleng Art by Sharon Eng for announcements and more information about my art. This image would be a good selection for business or corporate wall art and decor or in any home.
